FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
2/10/2007 -- At a recent meeting of the Owners and helpers of Falster Farm in Wood County Texas it was announced that the 2007 Spring Round-Up would take place over the Easter Holiday weekend, Thursday, April 5th - Sunday April 8th on Falster Farm .
Activities include:
Thursday: 08:00 Closing of County Road 4778 to move cattle in from the Western meadows and forest. All cows and calves will be held in North Pasture for corral work Friday morning. Belhaven College Students arrive.
Friday: 10:00 Cattle corralled and sorted by divisions of age and families. Dr. Wesley Larkin palpates and inspects for Spring/Summer Embryo Flush Programs, weights and measures are conducted.
10:00 Cattle vaccinations begin, bull calves and heifers sorted for separation, tattoo and breeding selection. All records confirmed and update by Noreen King.
12:00 Dinner at corral side.
13:00 Conclusion of corral work.
19:00 Supper and party on Residential Deck
Saturday:
08:30 Work day begins with working details assigned: Welding completions on gates and commence on grape arbors; renovation of South End of hay meadow w/Tractor and Bush Hog; fence rail painting; renovation of Residential East Room roof.
12:00 Dinner on Residential Deck
13:30 Completion of working detail projects
19:30 Supper on the Residential Deck
Sunday:
Sunday worship services at East Pond side lead by Bryce King. "The Call for a return to Christian (Biblically Sound) Agrarianism."
Monday: Students leave to return to Belhaven College.
