Many of our Miniature Registered Herefords are purchased for pets - mini cattle
so small and docile that they safe for
children to be around. They have life spans of upwards to 18 years, They can be
purchased from us as they become available. We have some now, as our Spring Roundup
has given us an idea of the calves and cows we have available.
Every now and again that meets our Live Cattle profile but doesn't fit into our herd development program. This calf will usually be the result of breeding for therapeutic reasons, such as, an embryo program. What ever the reason, we disclose the entire story to the buyer. We have a good history of pet mini cows. Read our customers Testimonials. These mini steers listed on this page don't measure up to the Falster Farm standard for a Herd Sire prospect so we sell them as Live Cattle for pets, lawn ornaments or beef. Finished as you like, these miniature beef cows can make excellent gourmet beef or real interesting pets. Calved 2011, Falster Farm has a number of calves that are available to bottle feed or wean off there mamas and ready to travel to your small acreage - making a great pet mini steer. Your family can get them off to a great start right now. These mini calves are so small they can ride in a medium to large dog carrier. We had one customer put them in their back seat and carried them home. These mini calves have not been named, are yet unregistered so you can have the joy of naming them.

Calved 5/DEC/2010, TEXAS PETE was born in snow and bottle fed. This pet mini steer stands 32" and weighs about 270#. I believe he will not get much bigger that this - perhaps longer, but he seems to have stopped adding height. His Dam is one of the funniest cows we have had on the place, being sold to South Texas in JUL 2011. I think you will like this young Steer and can readily recommend him to your family. He is a pure bred registered Hereford.
